Hi! My name is Jodie and I am addicted to bread. Well, really any type of carb. The first step of overcoming an addiction is to admit you have a problem. Well, I have completed step 1. Does anyone know the other 11 steps?? :-)
On Friday, Kristi and I saw the new Harry Potter movie. It was so good. I just hate that the movie came out so long after the book. Unfortunately, I didn't remember much from the book. So, it was kind of like I never even read the book, but I knew how it was going to end. As soon as I got home Friday evening, I started reading the Half-Blood Prince again. I figured I would read the book and then go see the movie again. It's a win win for me since I like to read and then I get to see the movie again! And can I just say, that the actors and actresses in the Harry Potter movies are so much better than the Twilight movies. During the previews, they showed the trailer for the new Twilight movie. It should be interesting to see if their acting abilities have gotten any better. Anyways, hope everyone had a great weekend! Oh, I also wanted to tell Amy congrats for running her first 10k!! You did great!
So, today has been a little harder to think of things that I am thankful for. Not that there aren't many things that I am thankful for, just I have already listed the ones that I am thankful for on a daily basis. But, I guess it is OK if repost some of the things that I am thankful for.
1. my family 2. Sara walking (finally) 3. Bryce 4. running vehicles (even if the windows don't roll down!)
I also wanted to say thank you to Vicki (you can find her here:http://vjjinaz.blogspot.com/) for joining me for Thankful Thursday. Thanks Vicki!
So, it is that time of the week for me to post what I am thankful for. I really hope others will join in me in posting what they are thankful for.
1. Bryce's job 2. our home 3. friends 4. Facebook
Let me explain why I am thankful for Facebook. I know it seems kind of lame to be thankful for that, but through Facebook I have been able to reconnect with some of my friends that I have lost touch with over the years. Not to mention, having the chance to make some new friends and learn a little more about old ones. So, what are you thankful for?
So, I was inspired by my friend Abbigail to have one post a week where I list a couple of things that I am greatful/thankful for. I hope this will help me to remember all the wonderful things that I have in my life. Along the way, maybe I will inspire you as well. So, here is my list:
1. my wonderful husband 2. my children 3. the atonement 4. the gospel
Now, these are not necessarily in any particular order because all of these things are I am equally thankful for. So, what are you thankful for?
First off, HOLY COW I cannot believe that it is already July! This year is flying by. I guess the older you get, the faster time seems to go. Secondly, I want to apologize to all of the blogs that I normally read. I have been so busy the past several weeks that I have neglected reading my favorite blogs. Plus the fact, that I have been having issues with Internet Explorer and blogger. I am going to do better at reading all of those wonderful blogs! Third, I thought I would tell y'all how Sara's 1 year check up went the other day. She now weighs 20lbs 9oz and is 29 1/4 inches tall. When Sara was born, she weighed 6lbs 11oz and was 19 inches long. So, that puts her in the 50% for height and weight. Her head, as usual, is in the 90-95%. The doctor said that she is doing great and now we get to start weaning her off the bottle. It would be alot easier if she would drink her milk cold. So, she ended up with 5 shots and had to have her blood drawn. Needless to say, Sara was not a happy camper. I am very blessed to have 2 beautiful and healthy children.
