My 100th Post!

Holy cow, I cannot believe that this will be my 100th post! If I was really cool, I would be offering some type of giveaway. But, unfortunately I am not that cool. Maybe for my 200th post.

Anywho, as you can tell from my ticker, we are leaving for Disney World in less than a month. I am totally in freak out mode! With the problems I have been having with my knee and taking 2 little ones on a plane, I'm not quite sure if I will even be sane by the time we leave. So, I need some help. I am hoping that some of the ladies that read my blog can help me come up with some activities for the kids on the plane ride. It is going to be a REALLY long day for them and for Bryce and I as well. So, if anyone has ever taken a 2 year old and a 1 year old on a plane trip across the country, I would love to hear your advice! Also, if anyone has any ideas on how to keep the kids entertained while wait in those horrifically long lines would be great too! Thanks ladies! You guys are the best!

Well the farthest plane ride we took with the kids on was just to AZ. But we got on the plane at the same time as the crew did and got off at the same time as the crew. Austin was 3 and Courtney 1. Plus I was pregnant with Cara. I think you are going to need a good size good bag with all the favorites. I will try to think back 10 years and get back to you. I can't believe it has been that long. SCARY!

I took a 2 and 3 year old, does that count?

1. Stroller. Love it. Need it. Gotta have it.

2. Two words for you: Dollar store. Go stock up on new toys and who cares if they don't make it home. Also, ration out the toys as you go. Don't do it all at once.

3. If you are flying at night at all, glow sticks. Again, from the dollar store.

4. Snacks, snacks and more snacks.

hope that helps!

When I was little we went on a lot of plane trips, and my mom would always pack one backpack for each if us with surprise toys--it was effective and we enjoyed it!

Congrats on the 100th!!

Jodie - we have made that flight with a 2 yr old and newborn. I agre withthe $1 store stuff. It was great. A book of those cheap stickers (like the ones teachers use they come in a little book of like 500 at walmart) is also great with just a plain notebook to stick them in. Cami is still occupied by peeling stickers off and sticking them on paper whenever we fly. The stroller is great to, check it at the gate. You can usually go through a different security line if you have a stroller, much faster. As for standing in line, lifesavers candy is always good or something that takes a long time to eat. Those fans with water bottles are great too, especially in Florida. But buy them before you get to Disney, otherwise they are way too expensive. Good luck!

100 Woot, woot!!

Sorry about your knee, what are you doing for it? Take the time to ponder on this and to do what you need to do and can do to help it. You are worth it!
