Oh The Things Kids Get Into!

So, this is a little embarrassing and I am sure that one day if Cooper ever sees it he will probably hate me, but I just thought this was too funny to pass up. I think the pictures speak for themselves!

Sara's Standing!

Here's the proof!

So, I know in my post a week or so ago that I said Sara was pulling up. Well, I know have some pictures to prove it! So I thought I would share. Enjoy!

The Potty Training Has Begun

I said that when Cooper turned 2 that I was really going to start potty training him. So, this morning the journey has begun. I have read many articles on the issue, as well as, talked with other moms and yet I still feel like I have no clue as to what I am doing. One of the articles I read said to bring their potty chair out into the living room where they are more comfortable. So, that is what I did this morning. I put him in his big boy underwear and let him sit on his potty. I set a timer for 10 minutes and when the timer went off he had to take off his underwear and try to go pee in the potty. Well, it worked the first time. But, it didn't work the second time. So, if anybody has any suggestions or advice, please let me know.

And Then She Stood

So, Sara has been crawling for a couple of weeks now. Every day she gets better and better at it. For the past few days she has really been trying to figure out how to pull up on anything that she can. Well, today she finally did it!! As I was changing Cooper's diaper, Sara pulled up on the side of the walker and stood there for about a minute before she fell and landed on her bum. She just stood there and smiled like she was such a big girl!! Hopefully, the next time she does it I will be able to get to the camera and take a picture. Anyways, just thought I would share with everyone!

Cooper's Birthday Party

Cooper's Party

We had Cooper's birthday party last night at Rick and Sharon's. Thank you very much for letting us use your house! I think the party went OK. Cooper doesn't quite understand that it was his birthday necessarily, just he was opening presents. He was also being quite the stinker. I don't know if he didn't get all of his nap out or if this is just how he is going to be now that he is 2. I'm thinking that this is just how he is going to be from now on. Terrible two's most definitely started early for us! So, I am sorry to our guests for the way he acted last night. I do try my hardest to get him to behave and to share. Anyways, when it was time to blow out the candle, Cooper had a little bit of trouble. He tried and tried to blow out the candle, but he wasn't blowing hard enough. Well, soon enough there was a nice spot of drool on the cake from where he was trying so hard to blow out the candles! So, daddy had to help him blow out the candle! All in all, it was a good party with lots of wonderful family there who spoiled Cooper more than he deserved!! We appreciate it very much! Thank you to everyone that came last night! You guys are the best and we love y'all very much! I almost forgot to add what kind of party would be complete without some type of an injury? Last night after Cooper's party, we went up to Brent and Cindy's for a little bit (so that I could taste her homemade chowder. Yummy!!!). Uncle Brent was playing on the computer and Cooper decided that he wanted to play too. So, he tried to climb into Uncle Brent's lap and ended up hitting his eye on the corner of the laptop. So, here is the picture of the injured birthday boy.

Cooper is 2!!

I can't believe that Cooper is 2! It seems like just yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. What an amazing past 2 years this has been! He is such a smart, funny, sweet (sometimes) and beautiful little boy. All though there are many times when I would really like to strangle him, Bryce and I are very blessed to be able to call Cooper our son. I love how he has to tell EVERYONE bye when we leave (even if others laugh and make fun of him, you know who you are!!), and he turns his head to the side to say night, night or love you. But, if you have a headache or a boo-boo he will definitely kiss it to make it feel better! Happy birthday baby boy!!! I love you!

And the Winner is.......

I'm sure that most everybody knows by now that the Gators won the 2009 FedEx BCS National Championship last night. Yay!!! Can I just say what an awesome game that was? I think that Oklahoma and Florida were the top 2 teams and deserved to be playing for the national championship title. I also believe after watching the game last night that Sam Bradford was indeed the right person to win the Heisman. There were a couple of times when I thought we might not be able to pull it off, but with Tebow as your quarterback anything is possible! What an awesome football player, as well as, just a regular 'ol good guy he is. I hope that he decides to stay at Florida next year, but if he decides to enter the draft, you can bet I will be picking him to be on my fantasy football league!!! 2 bits, 4 bits, 6 bits, a dollar, all for the Gators....stand up and holler!!!!

Gators vs Sooners

Well, today is the day. The game that Bryce and I have been waiting for for the last month. Our beloved Florida Gators will be playing against the Oklahoma Sooners tonight for the national championship title. If the Gators win it will be their 2nd title in 3 years. It should be a great game!! And no matter what the outcome and where I live I will always be a Florida Gator!! So, GOOOOOO Gators!!!! Sorry Desi!!

We Have Teeth!

First, I just want to say that I have posted several posts tonight. So, be sure to look at them all because I think they are each special in their own way. OK! So, on to the big news!! Sara finally has teeth!!! On Friday, I noticed that her gums were really, really swollen. No wonder she had been such a fussy bucket over the last few days. Then yesterday, we finally noticed that she had some teeth trying to come through. Anywho, this morning when we got up I noticed that her two bottom teeth finally came in! Yay! And it kind of looks like she might be trying to get another tooth on the bottom as well. Sara has also started crawling. She isn't a speed demon, yet. But, I'm sure she will get there soon enough! If I can figure out how to download videos onto the computer, then I will try to post a video of Sara crawling.

Jeremiah Schmunk Invitational 2009

Saturday was the Jeremiah Schmunk Invitational. Or in laymen's turns a wrestling tournament. Jeremiah was a former Warden wrestler who graduated in 2002. He had dreamed of joing the military since he was a little boy when he saw the tv commercial where Uncle Sam points at the screen and says, "I want YOU!" Jeremiah joined the National Guard. In July of 2004, Jeremiah was killed while fighting for his country. In remembrance of Jeremiah, Warden High School started the Jeremiah Schmunk Invitational. Over the past few years the invitational has grown a little bigger each year. Usually, Shirley (Jeremiah's mother) takes part in the tournament by handing out medals to all of the winners. The final team scores for the tournament were 1. Warden, 2. Cashmere, 3. Connell

Sledding Fun

Fun in the Snow

So, this last week while Chris and Erin were here all of the kids got in plenty of sledding time. Since they sled right by our house, I thought I would go outside and take some pictures of Cara and the boys (aka Austin, Cade, and Carter). Enjoy!
